Welcome to Weapons Defense Academy. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of learndefense.com and the products and services we offer, including our free training guide, the Specialist Track and Accelerated Track memberships, and WDA Pro Elite programs (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
Who we are
Weapons Defense Academy teaches street self-defense against weapon-wielding attackers through online video curriculum, live online coaching, and in-person training at our academy in Bonita Springs, Florida. What we sell
- Specialist Track — $27/month: a self-paced video curriculum with one sub-course unlocking each month and level certificates as you progress.
- Accelerated Track — $97/month: the same curriculum unlocked twice as fast, plus two live group coaching sessions per week.
- WDA Pro Elite: a done-with-you program with live coaching, one-on-one accountability calls, and in-person training, arranged by phone.
Memberships are billed monthly and renew automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed securely by our payment processor (Stripe) through our membership platform; we never see or store your card number. Cancellation and refund terms are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a membership. Minors may train only under the supervision and with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Assumption of risk
Self-defense training is inherently physical and carries a risk of injury. By practicing any technique shown in our videos, classes, or in-person sessions, you voluntarily assume that risk. Train within your own physical limits, use appropriate safety equipment and training partners, and consult a physician before beginning any physical training program. In-person training requires a signed liability waiver.
No guarantee of outcomes
Our training is educational. No self-defense system can guarantee your safety in a real encounter, and nothing in the Services is legal advice about the use of force. Laws on self-defense vary by state and country — you are responsible for knowing and complying with the laws that apply to you.
Your account and content license
Membership content is licensed to you personally for your own training. You may not share your account, redistribute, resell, publicly screen, or reproduce our videos, guides, or curriculum. All content, trademarks, and materials remain the property of Weapons Defense Academy.
Free guide and promotions
Our free guide is delivered by email after you opt in, at no cost and with no purchase obligation. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time. Any promotional offer we run is limited to one per customer unless stated otherwise, has no cash value, and may be modified or withdrawn at any time before purchase.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Weapons Defense Academy and its instructors are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You may cancel your membership at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms (for example, account sharing or content redistribution); if we terminate without cause, we will refund the unused portion of your current billing period.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Lee County, Florida.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the current version. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on this site.
